This summer, Kobe Bryant will be playing with an added chip on his shoulder (as if he needed one) when the USA Basketball Team travels to London for the 2012 Olympics. Kobe, who led the charge for the 2008 'Redeem Team,' will be seeking a second-straight Gold Medal in what will likely be his last international tournament. When he suits up in red, white and blue in July, it's probable that he'll be lacing up this new "USA" colorway of the Nike Kobe VII.
First seen when Nike unveiled the Team USA Hyper Elite Uniform, Kobe's London VII features a white synthetic base, accented by obsidian on the Swoosh logos, laces and inner lining. University Red handles Flywire threading, Kobe's logo on the tongue and lining and external counter. All three patriotic colors appear on the midsole and outsole, while the curious logo we spotted on the Obsidian/Yellow Kobe VII last week adorns the heel on this pair as well.
The "USA" Kobe VII will drop on Saturday, June 16 for $140.
