Nike is bringing back the Nike Zvezdochka to celebrate the unconventional shoe's tenth anniversary.
This silhouette, created in conjunction with industrial designer Marc Newson, has long been championed by Nike CEO Mark Parker, who called it one of his favorite Nike designs in a September, 2014 interview with Business of Fashion. The shoe drew on Newson's time at the Russian Space Agency, and is named after a Russian dog sent into orbit back in 1961. Unsurprisingly, this modular model will be retroed via NikeLab, who will be stocking the Nike Zvezdochka on December 29th. Nike INC has more on the creative process behind this shoe.
