Believing that training never stops, especially for the weather, Nike has designed the Nike Free Trainer 3.0 Mid Shield, a new trainer combining natural motion capabilities with water-resistant Shield technology.

Who knows better about the perils of terrible weather than minds at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, where rainfall soaks the ground seemingly every day of the year. To solve this problem and those like it, the Free Trainer 3.0 Mid Shield blends several materials into a sturdy mid-top package built for all conditions. A polyurethane layer sits between the shoe's spandex-based textile upper and its lining to create a water repellant barrier, while durable ripstop material covers the ankle and tongue to provide both water resistance and breathability. Dynamic Fit technology helps lock the foot down into the shoe's Free 3.0 sole, which is further reinforced with solid rubber pods for increased traction. Lastly, reflective accents help maintain visibility in low-light settings.

The Nike Free Trainer 3.0 Mid Shield will be available globally on October 1.
