A pair of Nike Foamposites is at the center of the latest sneaker crime, which has two Michigan teens headed for prison.

Malik S. Manuel and Ricky H. Morgan, both 17, are charged with two counts of unarmed robbery stemming from an incident in January where they allegedly pulled knives on two other teens. Manuel grabbed a pair of Foamposites from one of them, while Morgan robbed the other of $50.

During cross-examination, Manuel's lawyer questioned one of the victims about him possibly losing the sneakers in a bet with Manuel at a YMCA in Saginaw, Mich. Manuel's brother said he saw the victim lose the bet, supposedly over a one-on-one basketball game.

Manuel and Morgan will go to prison for more than two years each.
