There's a long history of Nike Dunk pairs referencing Air Jordan styles, specifically Air Jordan 1s.
The Jordan 1 obviously has a lot of overlap with the Nike Dunk High in terms of design, so with some colorways it's impossible not to see a correlation. That's especially true whenever the Dunk series is seen with a black/royal or black/red combination, like on this new pair. Remember that this build is actually a step above the standard Nike Dunk High release as it features the CMFT tooling.
