The Nike Air Foamposite One is hit or miss these days, but no one can doubt that it scored big over All-Star Weekend, when the "Chromeposite" officially hit stores. Now, pairs move in the range of $600 - $800, a steep price to pay or a shoe that's being heavily counterfeited on the secondary market.
To help you tell the difference between an authentic pair of Chromeposites and a knockoff, Fake Education has listed four telltale signs.

Fake Education: "Green areas: notice how the outsole of the real pair is icy, but the outsole of the fake pair is plain clear. Orange area: The Penny logo is backwards on the fakes. Red area: The traction areas look totally different on the fakes."

Fake Education: "The 'Y' and 'C' are wide apart on the fakes, but they touch on the real pair. The whole look of the 'Y' and 'C' is a lot different on the fakes The bottom of the 'C' on the retail pair completely goes into the Swoosh. On the fakes, it does not completely go into the Swoosh."

Fake Education: "Red area: The toe box is a lot shorter and does not have the same smooth rounded curve on the fake pair."

Fake Education: "Red area: The wavy lines going up the Foamposite upper do not reach the top of the panel on the fake pair. But if u look at the retail pair, those wavy curves do reach the top of the panel."
