Today, Major League Baseball celebrates Jackie Robinson Day, marking the anniversary of his April 15, 1947 debut. To help honor the barrier-breaking legend, Nike Baseball has released special Jackie Robinson Day make-ups of Ken Griffey Jr.'s Air Max 360 Swingman Trainer and the Air Swingman MVP Metal cleat.
Decked out in tan with camouflage accents, the Air Max 360 Swingman and Swingman MVP Metal pay homage to Jackie's time serving in the US Army prior to playing baseball. Additional features include a custom tongue patch and Jackie's number '42' embossed on the heel.
Some players will be taking this commemorative footwear to the diamond today, but you can also get your hands on a pair. The Air Max 360 Swingman is available at Eastbay and the Air Swingman MVP Metal Cleats is being carried at Dick's Sporting Goods.
