Almost a year and a half ago, the Nike Air Yeezy 2 was first spotted on the feet of Kanye West in Kobe Bryant's Robert Rodriguez directed Nike short film, Kobe Bryant Is...The Black Mamba. Since then, the sneaker community hasn't been able to get enough of Kanye's sequel sig, clinging on to every photo and piece of information available. Over the last several months, release dates have been revealed and changed multiple times, the latest putting the Yeezy 2 on track for a June drop. While we wait for something concrete in that regard, here's a look at another detailed set of photos that recently surfaced online.
These shots really get into the detailed elements of the shoe, including the reptile textures and materials used on the upper. We also get a close look at the Horus logo on the tongue, embossed details on the lace lock and cross-strap, markings beneath the insole and the glow-in-the-dark outsole. Additionally, these photos highlight the removable metal lace tips, which are fastened on with screw grooves.
As of now, the Yeezy 2 release is still looking like June. We'll be sure to provide you with any new information when it becomes available.
