For more than a year, our only looks at the highly anticipated Nike Air Yeezy 2 have come by way of paparazzi photos, concert recaps and teasers from within Kanye's camp. Still, that was enough to drive out some campers out to the front of retail locations a month in advance. The pre-release buzz for this shoe easily exceeds that of the "Galaxy" Nike Air Foamposite One, and if that release is any indication of what we can look forward to, the Yeezy 2 may very well go down as the biggest drop of all time.
Here we are in late March finally taking our first detailed look at the Air Yeezy 2 in Wolf Grey. Prior to these new photos, our best look at this shoe came when Kanye broke out a pair at London Fashion Week. The shoe features a composition of premium materials on the upper, including nylon mesh, suede, snake skin leather and a Torch fabric on the tongue. Egyptian mythology inspires the rubber Horus logo on the tongue, pyramid-shaped perforations along the medial side and hieroglyphics appear beneath the cross-strap. Leather toggles, chunky metal lace tips and glow-in-the-dark soles provide the finishing touches on the highly detailed sneaker.
Complete with matching dust bags, the Nike Air Yeezy 2 will be released worldwide in June at retailers like Singapore's LimitedEDT.
