Is This Still Considered a Nike Air Safari?

The Nike Air Safari is barely recognizable on this new Deconstruct pair.

Believe it or not, this is indeed a Nike Air Safari, albeit not the build that most are familiar with.

The sneaker comes labeled as the Nike Safari Deconstruct, and of course loses its eponymous print. Tinker's 1987 classic isn't quite as striking without the dots that have always been there, but it's interesting that this sneaker is pulling back on that treatment at a time when other Nike Sportswear silhouettes have been over dosing on the same. The Nike Air Safari Deconstruct is not an entirely new creation, pairs were popping up back in 2012, but the release of this black/gum marks the first time in a while that the sneaker has surfaced. The Nike Air Safari Deconstruct is available now from Caliroots.
