There's a generation of sneakerheads who probably aren't aware that Chris Webber was once a Nike signature athlete. Or that he was ever a Washington Bullet. Or that the Washington Wizards used to be the Washington Bullets. But Nike's latest retro takes us back to 1995, when Webber was indeed a Bullet and wore this shoe on the court.
The Nike Air Max CW, now known as the Air Max Sensation, was in many ways a continuation of the foundation established by Charles Barkley's max-loaded signature series. This black and royal colorway originally dropped with Webber's number and logo on the heel, and was a must-have if you were really trying to get fresh at school.
After a long wait (and that awful House of Hoops retro), the Air Max Sensation is back for the first time since 2002. Pick up a pair now in White/Navy at you local Nike retailer and keep an eye out for this colorway in the coming months.
