With the 2012 NBA All-Star Game taking place in Orlando, Nike Sportswear is introducing a pack of footwear inspired by the area's association with space exploration. Building on that concept, they're also releasing All-Star themed footwear linked to arguably the most popular player in Orlando Magic history, Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway. The centerpiece of the collection is the Nike Air Foamposite One, perhaps the single most beloved model of all the sneakers tied to the former All-Star point guard.
The All-Star "Galaxy" Foamposite One showcases a galactic print throughout the upper, accented by black on the vamp, tongue, eyestay, collar and heel. Dark grey handles branding and minor details throughout, while the insoles are adorned with NASA-inspired Nike logos. An ice blue translucent rubber outsole caps off the look below.
Part of the Nike Sportswear All-Star Galaxy Collection, the Air Foamposite One will be available at select retailers like Nikestore on Thursday, February 23.
