Nike Huaraches Hop on the Icy Sole Bandwagon

Another clean Nike Huarache release for the new year, this one in white leather.

by Brendan Dunne

The Nike Huarache line debuted at around the same time as icy soles did, but hasn't used the approach very often.

Tinker Hatfield's Nike Air Huarache hit stores in 1991, just a year after the Air Jordan 5 first showed up with the translucent look on bottom that would forever change the way sneakerheads look at their soles. The look stayed in the Air Jordan lane for years, but these days can be found all over the catalogs of every sneaker brand out there. This new pair of the Nike Air Flight Huarache finally lets the foot-hugging line get more familiar with that treatment. This Nike Air Flight Huarache release should be at Nike Sportswear accounts later in 2015.
