When people heard that NIGO was partnering up with adidas Originals to design sneakers, there were likely expectations of a return to his BAPE form of all-over prints and wild colors.
Instead, NIGO's adidas stuff has so far offered some of the more subdued sneakers in the collaboration space. Again toning it down is his new run of adidas Campus 80s shown here. The materials stick to the standards of suede and leather, and the only direct call out to the NIGO connection comes on the tongue label (even the white leather pair here skips out on though). It seems that NIGO has turned away from the all-over looks for good, which is a little surprising given that Bape's recent resurgence. These pairs from the NIGO x adidas Originals collection are rolling into retailers now.
