Converse First String revealed its latest stand out collaboration today, tapping British designer Nigel Cabourn for a special capsule collection. Known for his work with heritage- and military-inspired apparel, Cabourn lends his aesthetic to the Chuck Taylor All Star Bosey and the Chuck Taylor All Star Specialty Plimsole, infusing both with distinctive materials.

Cabourn's Bosey high-top features a rugged Ventile fabric upper, available in military-inspired olive and navy colorways. The densely woven Ventile fabric (seen previously on the Dover Street Market Air Force 1) is both highly water- and wind-resistant, having been developed during World War II for use in the immersion suits of Royal Air Force pilots.

The Specialty Plimsole recreates a 1941 British Army P.E. trainer with vintage Converse detailing. Available in three colorways, Cabourn's Specialty Plimsole features a high-grade Italian denim upper, canvas lining and rubber midsole.

The Nigel Cabourn x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Bosey will release on April 12, while the Specialty Plimsole will follow two months later on June 14. The collection will be available at End Clothing in Newcastle upon Tyne, Concepts in Boston and Tenue de Nimes in Amsterdam.
