Gilbert Arenas was never a Los Angeles Laker, but adidas did release the LA native's signature TS Lightswitch Gil sneaker in purple and gold back in 2008. Limited to 3,000 pairs, the "Gilwood" colorway was part of a series of themed colorways inspired by elements of Arenas' life.
Nick Young, a new endorser and one of Arenas' best friends, broke out a pair of the vintage sneakers for Thursday night's nationally televised game between the Lakers and Chicago Bulls. Young shared a close-up photo of the shoes prior to the game, along with the brief caption, "LA."
