The New Balance 990 is again experimenting with new materials, this time upping the ante on the typical suede and mesh with accents of leather and cotton drill.
The New Balance 990 is available on NB's custom platform, but the options on materials there are pretty limited. There was a time when the brand promised more to come beyond the standard suede, but for now that and mesh are the only choices for this sneaker, making the leather/drill/nubuck combo all the more enticing.
As per usual, New Balance isn't shy about the price with this Made in USA pair. The sneakers should come in at $240 when they release in North America.
