In honor of the 68th anniversary of the League, the NBA is apparently releasing 1946 pairs of their own sneaker, on June 6th. There's not a lot of details now, but based on the fact that this was reported by NBC Sports writer Brett Pollakoff, it appears to be legit.
Chances are that the NBA isn't getting in the sneaker-making business, so this is probably just a licensed product. There's no word yet on who's producing it, so for now, it appears to carry just the NBA branding in the leagues iconic colors.
