2015 marks the 25th anniversary of the Asics Gel Lyte III, that classic split-tongue runner that's become the foundation of the brand's retro offerings.
There's a Concepts pair floating around that celebrates that year mark, and now there's a mita sneakers version as well. Interestingly enough, mita sneakers isn't actually the shop to debut the project. Instead, BAIT beat them to the punch with this Instagram preview, which promises its arrival on Jan. 24. The caption mentions that the sneakers will be limited to just 1,990 pairs worldwide, a figure that will presumably be the same for all the upcoming anniversary pairs. No word yet from mita sneakers on the official inspiration on this collab.
