Is Michael Jordan running for president in 2016? Almost certainly not, but that hasn't stopped someone from registering him as a candidate in next year's race.
Bleacher Report spotted that Jordan, along with a host of other athletes, fictional characters, and media favorite Deez Nuts, appear in the Federal Election Commission's listing of Form 2 Filers. Jordan is listed as an independent.

While Jordan definitely has the bankroll to fund an election, there's no way this is actually happening. First, he's got a sneaker brand and a basketball team to run. Second, Jordan has opted to stay out of politics in the past, famously giving the reason that, "Republicans buy shoes too," for his hesitance in the political sphere.
