Tonight at Club LIV in Miami Beach, the University of Miami and adidas officially unveiled the Hurricanes’ new Primeknit football uniforms for the 2015 season.
The new look, developed in collaboration with the school’s athletic department, is highlighted by metallic stripes and hurricane-style cuts. The “Hurricanes” moniker appears along the inside collar, while the classic oversized “U” is proudly displayed across the back of the jersey.
Keeping players cool and increasing range of motion, Primeknit is made with a cutting-edge yarn blend that enhances comfort. The jersey’s padlock system secures tension over the shoulder pads and the bodymap fit makes it more difficult for opponents to make a tackle.
Highlighting the first uniform set are two new cleat options. First, the 8.0 ounce adizero 5-Star 5.0, which features SprintSkin construction and ShockWeb reinforcement. There’s also a similar colorway of the Freak x Kevlar cleat, built with actual DuPont Kevlar fiber.
The new Canes adidas uniforms will debut on-field against Bethune Cookman on Saturday, September 5.
