One of the biggest sports-related stories from this past summer was the emergence of Mo'ne Davis, a 13-year old girl from Philadelphia who was one of the best pitchers in the Little League World Series.
With an arm clocked as fast as 70 miles per hour, Davis drew record TV ratings in her run, which included becoming the first girl to ever throw a Little League World Series complete game shutout. Philadelphia would eventually fall in the US semis, but Davis made her mark and inspired a generation of young female athletes.
To tell Davis' story, Chevrolet recently teamed up with legendary director Spike Lee for a documentary called Throw Like a Girl. In the doc, we learn how a regular kid from Philly became the biggest story in sports. We also found out that Ms. Davis' sneaker game isn't too shabby, after spotting her racing up the famous Rocky Steps in the 'Concord' Air Jordan 11 Low.
