With his partner in crime Dwyane Wade back in the fold, LeBron James and the Miami Heat hosted the New York Knicks on Friday night in what could have been a playoff preview. Carmelo Anthony being sidelined with an injured wrist gave the Heat a significant upper-hand, and they took advantage of it with a 99-89 victory. LeBron recorded 31 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists on the night to lead the way for Miami.
In the game, James wore a new colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 to match the Heat's home uniforms. The shoe features a white synthetic upper with red textile "wing" paneling. Additional hits of red appear on the tongue signature and pull-tab, while black fills in the laces, inner lining and midsole. We're calling these PEs, but they could very well be a NIKEiD creation. It's possible to mock up a similar, but not exact version on the customization program.
Check out a few photos of LeBron's custom 9s below.
