The biggest sneaker meme of the summer, undeniably, is the shaming practice of asking someone, "What are those!?" It occurs when a person is wearing a pair of totally uncool sneakers and they get called out publicly for it. We've wrote about it at length and even interviewed the originator of this joke, but the most high-profile case might have just happened.

Kyrie Irving, starting point guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers and owner of a Nike signature sneaker, decided to make a joke at his unfortunate friend for their lame footwear choice. Irving is seen in a backyard, uncontrollably giggling, and pointing to his bud's slip-ons.

No one is safe from this ruthless, savage behavior. The only way to protect yourself is to lace up something that's not corny, or get a group of friends that don't want to put you on blast in front of the Internet.
