This week we start the Kicks on Cards Weekly Collection with Kevin Garnett in the Nike Air Garnett III. The Air Garnett III from 1999 was KG's most popular signature model during his time with Nike. The shoe featured a unique gradient faded mesh combined with a sweeping leather "wing" and metallic Swoosh. The Garnett III also utilized the short-lived Tuned Air cushioning system. Would you consider the Air Garnett III KG's overall best signature shoe from all the brands he's worn?
We then head back about ten years to check out Bo Kimble in the Nike Air Force STS released in 1989. Around the turn of the decade from the 80's to 90's countless pro could be spotted in the STS, Nike's premier Force model of the time. The giant FORCE logo on the tongue and the use of elephant print were the Air Fore STS's defining features. It's one of the last of the great Nike Basketball shoes still waiting for a retro release.
Next, like the feature from a few weeks ago, we spot a football player on the turf in basketball shoes with Lomas Brown in the Reebok Omnizone Pump. To round out the five card collection are Micheal Jordan wearing an icy pair of the Air Jordan XI and Brian Williams in a clean and simple pair of Reebok Pumps. What's your favorite sneaker sighting this week?
