Kicks on Cards: The Weekly Collection Featuring Sir Charles

November 16th 2012 | 28 comments

words // Zack Schlemmer

This week we start the Kicks on Cards Weekly Collection with Charles Barkley in his most memorable signature model, the Air Max2 CB.  Here Sir Charles is rocking the Phoenix Suns home version with a predominantly white upper, a colorway that has never been re-released.

We go next to one of Chuck's early 90's foes with Horace Grant in the Nike Air Force High from 1993.  The Air Force High featured a criss-crossing strap for maximum lockdown and was worn by a number of NBA big men like Alonzo Mourning.  In this card we also get a bonus peak at Patrick Ewing's Ewing Brand Focus model in an awesome Knicks colorway.

The third card has two high tops in one with a young high school Chris Webber with the high top fade, and one of the coolest high top sneakers ever, the Nike Air Command Force from 1991.  The collection is finished up this week with Nick Anderson icing down after a game in his Air Jordan X PE and a ridiculous football card with Mark Clayton lounging on a goal post in the adidas Rivalry.

Charles Barkley -- Nike Air Max2 CB

Horace Grant -- Nike Air Force High '93, Patrick Ewing -- EWING Focus

Chris Webber -- Nike Air Command Force

Nick Anderson -- Air Jordan X PE

Mark Clayton -- adidas Rivalry

LeBron James has the best sneakers in this year's Heat vs. Bulls playoff series, but can you guess who had the best in the two teams' 1992 matchup?

Every single shoe on here was classic and real nice. A lot of heat on here.

The ONLY 90's basketball shoes that are somewhat tasteful, are Jordan's
If we can have a civilized dialogue between the two of us I can respectfully tell you that you are wrong. The 90s brought the most iconic and diverse basketball signatures and lines of shoes.80% of today's releases are based on 90s OG models.
That was one of the dumbest things I've read on here in awhile. The 90's brought in some of the most sought out for shoes of today and a large amount of them are not Jordans.

I need a pair of those air command forces. I always liked Nik's PE X's and CB 94's
