The Kicks on Cards Weekly Collection is full of heat this week, with even a baseball cleat. We start off with legendary point guard John Stockton in a mid 90's Nike Basketball classic with the Nike Air Flight Max. This shoe from 1996 is unique in that it was the first Nike model to ever utilize visible Air Max in only the forefoot - the reverse of the traditional visible Air positioning. The Air Flight Max was notably worn by Kevin Garnett as one of his first shoes in the NBA, but here we see Stockton sporting a white and purple pair to match his Jazz uniform.
Since the MLB postseason is still in full effect, this week we also feature a classic baseball cleat. Frank Thomas' Reebok Big Hurt model is one of the most unique and most memorable baseball cleat designs of all time. The boldly designed shoe featured contrasting bars across the upper with repeating Reebok logos. The Big Hurt from 1996, was obviously from the same Reebok design team as bold classics like the Shaqnosis. Who would like to se the turf trainer version of the Big Hurt return with the current Reebok Classics movement?
Darius Miles is next with one of his Air Jordan IX PE's. This white and blue pair is one of his lesser seen PE's from his Los Angeles Clipper days. We finish up the week with two Nike basketball and Kicks on Cards staples with the Air Flight Huarache on "Plastic Man" Stacey Augmon and Matt Fish wearing and Matt Fish wearing a white and red pair of the Air Max Strong.
