Last night at the 2015 MTV VMAs, Kanye West announced during his Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech that he plans to run for president in 2020. Toward the end of the night, he threw out an incentive that might already have people registering to vote.
Later in the evening, paparazzi bombarded Kanye with questions about his presidential bid. In the above video, he mostly ignores the shouting, but does pause before getting into his car to make a quick statement.
"If I win, everybody gets Yeezys," Kanye says.
Is this another hollow political promise? Kanye has made these sort of claims before about the adidas Yeezy Boost's retail release, so it's sort of hard to trust him here.
