The release of the "Gone Fishing" Nike Foamposites, happening this weekend, has been timed to coincide with the final team exiting the 2015 NBA Playoffs.
Of course things could have gone better for Nike if the series had stretched to seven games, with the last one coming on Friday, June 19 and these sneakers releasing the next day. It also could have better for the brand if the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers took home the title.
The sneaker is one of the most literal Foamposites Nike's ever come up with. In addition to featuring fish scales on the upper and a fish skeleton embroidered on the heel, it comes packaged with an actual fishnet bag.
The "Gone Fishing" Nike Air Foamposite One releases on Saturday, June 20 for $250. The sneakers will be available for purchase via Nike at 10 am EST.
