After a decade in the NBA, where he peaked as one of the league's most explosive scorers and biggest personalities, Gilbert Arenas is now taking his talents to China, where he'll play the upcoming season with the Guangdong Tigers.
As we saw all throughout the 2010-2011 year that Gilbert spent with the Orlando Magic, Arenas has a ton of shoes and likes to switch things up on the regular.
"It reminds me of when I was in high school. You just go to the store and buy the shoes that you like," Agent Zero said at the time in our interview early in the season. "Since I don’t have a deal, I just want to wear what I want to wear. You know, I just want to go out there and play in what I feel like, the shoes that I like, and the shoes that I’ve collected over the years."
He apparently is planning a similar "Sneaker Champ" approach overseas this year.
Check out the photo below that Gilbert recently posted, as he plans to haul along everything from Yeezy 2s to tons of Retro Jordans to even Air Penny Vs.
"Packed and ready to go to China!" Arenas posted on his newly launched Weibo account. "Can’t wait to meet my coaches and teammates and reunite with my buddy Yi for a Championship run.”
Good luck in China Gil, and we'll be keeping tabs on the footwear.
