anytime frank ocean is singing about love for another person, there is a STRONG POSSIBILITY he is singing about gay romance. how can you say you enjoy listening to gay romance songs and say youre not gay? I could give a fuck if he is gay. but the man is singing about loving men. I cant enjoy that shit because i'm straight. If you enjoy frank ocean's music, you also enjoy brokeback mountain. What does that say about you? come on this is simple logic really.
ever heard if you don't have nothing nice to say, then keep it yourself? nobody asked you how you feel about his sexual orientation or who he sings to. they are showcasing his shoes. if you dont like his music SUDDENLY then silently don't purchase his album. what you people don't realize is - this is a issue of basic civil rights. how would you like if back in the late 1930s your african american grandmother made songs that made it to the radio. white americans didn't know that the singer was a black woman, so they full-heartedly supported the songs. then all of a sudden when they find out she was a black woman they boycott her songs and refuses to listen to them? this is what civil rights pioneers fought for, to change people's thinking on topics like this. now it's just a different beast. it's no more the issue of race, but yet the issue of who you choose to love? i just challenge all of you individuals to think about this before you make such bold statements.
did you even read my fucking post? I could give a shit if he's gay if he would sing about straight romance. Kanye could be one of the gayest dudes on the earth but he still sings about fucking women so I can enjoy his music. Frank Ocean sings about fucking guys and loving men. That shit doesn't make sense to me and therefore i CAN NOT enjoy that music. I question your sexuality if you enjoy songs about gay love.
I'm actually a lesbian, very very gay. So there's no more question needed. But just because I sexually prefer a woman over a man doesn't mean I will not listen to straight music (99.9% of the mainstream). I mean this isn't a sing-a-long like you verbatim go around singing his songs. It's just music. All I'm saying is don't boycott the guy, it's civil rights.
Nice shoes.....thats all I got. :ninja:
Can't wait for 2013 then...
