Footaction 34th Street NYC Grand Opening Tomorrow

words // Brandon Richard

Tomorrow, Footaction will open the doors to its 34th Street flagship location in New York City.

The event will be highlighted by a stacked lineup of releases, including Jordan Retros, Kobes, LeBrons and Foamposites. Due to the heightened excitement, there will be a specific procedure for purchasing sneakers. When the store opens, you will have the opportunity to purchase up to three pairs (one of each style/color) from the list provided below. Re-releases are back in stock only at this location.

Footaction 34th Street opens at 8.00 a.m. EST. Check out the full release list below and follow @footaction on Twitter for updates.

Terrible staff. Great security staff but the in-store employees only cared about pushing through as many customers as possible. Doesn't help that the manager had to be corrected on what the right policy was for selling the release/ restock products listed on the grand opening page shown on the official website (he said we could only pick one type of the release/ restock but the right policy was that we were allowed to pick three pairs but were limited to one pair for each type. The staff didn't care about working with the customers who were screwed over before I corrected the district manager even after he acknowledged his mistake and spoke with the store manager who probably told every other employee. I was also lined up with my brother but wasn't allowed to cover his pay even though it wouldn't have made a difference. After lining up since 4 or 5PM, we were told we'd only be considered as one customer (we were probably the 7th and 8th customer). They even began to pester the family that lined up around the evening hours probably for the same reason. Terrible, jut terrible. They showed no respect to any of the customers. The employees only care about their commissions or whatever it is that was motivating them to process as many customers as possible. 34th St. Footaction, good luck because I don't see a reason why any of the locals should ever bother with your store after these two horrible days of a "grand" opening.
