If there's one thing Extra Butter fans can expect from the New York shop's sneaker collaborations, it's movie-inspired themes.
This time around, EB worked on the Asics Gel Lyte V in what is clearly an ode to Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation. The shoe here comes on the heels of a quartet of Wes Anderson joints, the common thread between those references and this one being Bill Murray.
The promo video introducing the shoes makes no mention of a sneaker release date, but promises that the shoe is coming for the holiday season.
UPDATE 12/01: The Extra Butter x Asics Gel Lyte V "Karaoke" will release at Extra Butter's LES location on Dec. 10 at 8 p.m., with a release to follow at its RVC location the same time the next night. The sneakers will release online on Saturday, Dec. 12. Pairs will be available in men's sizes 5 to 13 ($180) and in whole toddler sizes ($80) from 4 to 9.
