A store that sells items left behind at airports is bound to have some surprises, as discovered by the man who bought the sneakers shown above from the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro, Ala.
WHNT 19 reports that when the buyer went home and put the shoes on, he noticed something was going on with the soles. Upon further inspection he found a large stash of ecstasy pills tucked away in the hollowed out soles.
The buyer called the police, who decided they couldn't do much about the controlled substance given how far removed it was from its original owner at that point.
The obvious moral of this story is never lose track of your luggage, especially if it contains several thousand dollars worth of contraband.
