With the new NFL season officially kicking off tonight, we'll be taking a look back at some of the classic cleats and rare Player Exclusives that have hit the turf in the past. Starting things off is Dre Bly, a two-time Pro Bowl cornerback who spent his most formidable years with the Detroit Lions, resumed playing in Denver and capped off an 11-year career as a member of the San Francisco 49ers in 2009.

Bly, who started wearing Jordan Brand cleats when he traded to the Broncos in 2007, spent part of his lone season in San Francisco laced up in a special make-up of the Air Jordan 3. Bly's PE was black-based with a glossy finish, red elephant print and eyelets, custom 'DB' embroidery on the tongue and was supported by a chrome cleat plate.

In his Jordan cleats, Bly picked off three passes and recorded a sack for the Niners in '09 before retiring as a Lion the following summer.

What do you think of Bly's "49ers" PE? Would you like to see the Jordan Brand drop this colorway in sneaker form?
