Today, the NBA began a league-wide observance of Chinese New Year by teaming up with official outfitter adidas to issue teams custom red "Year of the Snake" shooting shirts. Additionally, a few notable adidas Basketball athletes laced up "Year of the Snake" edition sneakers, including Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose and Rookie of the Year front-runner Damian Lillard.
Rose and Lillard each laced up the "Year of the Snake" Rose 3.5, which officially hit retail in limited quantities late last month. Derrick continued to inch his way toward a comeback by participating in shootaround, while Lillard put up a solid 18 and 6 in a Blazers loss to the Rockets.
