Following what felt like a brief, but action-packed offseason, the NBA officially returned last night, with the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers tipping off the preseason.

One of the guys who made the offseason exciting was DeAndre Jordan, who was briefly a Dallas Maverick before re-committing to the Clippers. And good thing he did, because we probably wouldn't have gotten this hilarious sneaker moment.

During the third quarter, Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried lost his shoe, a Player Exclusive make-up of the adidas Crazyquick 3. Before running back on offense, Jordan grabbed the shoe and chucked it into the crowd. Now, for safety reasons, it's a good idea to make sure the court is clear, but players tend to use the shoe toss to gain a brief competitive advantage. Enjoy that now, because the NBA will probably soon in introduce some kind of appropriate shoe toss protocol.

It seems like adidas has a tough time catching breaks, and this "incident" is the latest example. Not only did Jordan, wearing the Nike Soldier 8, toss Faried's adidas shoe, but a sideline camera perfectly captured the moment, resulting in the ultimate "What Are Thooose?" GIF.
