This year, DC Shoes is launching their new "Rediscover DC" campaign, an initiative aimed at recapturing the vibe of one of skateboarding's original powerhouse teams. For the first time in nearly a decade, Rediscover DC presents the entire skate team together, along with new additions Nyjah Huston and Mike Mo Capaldi.
Nyjah Huston is a 17-year old phenom taking the skate world by storm. Huston took home X-Games Gold in the 2011 street event, was the runner up at the Annual Tampa Pro competition and placed second overall in the Street League Series. Many people in the skate community already regard Nyjah as one of the best in the world.
After a departure from Lakai, Mike Mo Capaldi is a bit of a veteran (at the old age of 21) that brings personality to the revamped lineup. After debuting in Paul Rodriguez's Forecast at age 16, the Simi Valley pro became known for being a master of ledge tricks and flat ground. His most notable moment may have come with his video part in opening part in Lakai’s Fully Flared, where he landed one never-before-seen trick after another.
