adidas is set to kick off its 'Gauntlet' AAU tournament in Dallas, Texas this weekend. To mark the occasion, the brand created a 'PE' of the D Lillard 1 known as the 'Gauntlet' edition. This pair comes in a metallic silver, black, and grey colorway, with the phrase 'adidas Gauntlet' printed on the insoles.
Although they won't be available at retail, Damian Lillard and adidas laced up players from more than 150 teams from the top 15, 16 and 17U teams in the country, including Lillard's Oakland Rebels in this special D Lillard 1. The winning teams will advance to the adidas Gauntlet Finale in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, July 10, where they will compete to be crowned the best AAU team of the season. Some of the players have already received their pairs and took to Twitter to show off the goods. Check it out below:
