Damian Lillard Gets His Own adidas Crazy 8
words // Brandon Richard
Some argue that Damian Lillard is on his way to being adidas' next signature athlete. The reigning Rookie of the Year has led his Portland Trail Blazers to the best record in the NBA through 29 games with averages of 21.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists. With the brand in need of new star power, Lillard's rise is right on time.
While a signature shoe isn't planned for the immediate future, adidas is releasing a special Lillard colorway of the classic Crazy 8. Black nubuck and synthetic leather handle the shoe's upper, which is accented by a unique graphic print and Portland-inspired hits of red and grey. The EVA midsole is also done in grey and sits atop a red rubber sole. Officially linking the shoe to Dame is number '0' embroidery on the tongue.
No drop date for the Lillard Crazy 8 at the moment, but we'll keep you updated here at Sole Collector.
So, how many zeroes does your Nike paycheck actually have?
1. Adidas IS profiting from Kobe's line.
2. Why doesn't adidas just drop Lillard now so he can sign with Nike too. According to your "logic" it would just save a few steps..... Matter a fact why doesn't everybody who is signed to other companies just go ahead and sign with Nike and fulfill your wet dream.
