The Converse Aero Jam was not a sneaker that anybody expected to don the "liquid metal" aesthetic.
The approach was made popular last year by Nike Sporstwear, which introduced two Air Max 1s to the elemental configuration and sparked a theme that would eventually show up on pairs like the Tiempo 94 and the Nike Air Force 1 as well. Converse is of course part of the Nike INC umbrella, so it doesn't feel that derivative for it to borrow this look from its Swoosh overlords. This Converse Aero Jam was sent out as a promo gift, so it's uncertain whether the 'Liquid Gold' pair will make it to retail. If it does end up releasing, Sole Collector will have the relevant release date information.
