The latest Concepts x New Balance project is a surprise one, first showing up today and ready for a release this weekend.
The shoe references the Boston Marathon, and incorporates the colors of the race's logo and medals. There have been plenty of New Balance 574 collaborations in recent years that feel like direct designs off the brand's custom platform, but this shoe elevates itself beyond that status thanks to the laser etching of Boston's skyline on the heel wrap. The shoe also uses premium Horween leathers for some of the upper's panels.
The Concepts x New Balance 574 "Boston Marathon" will release for $170 in-store at Concepts this Saturday, April 18 at 10 am, and online in the afternoon of the same day.
