Classic Commercial: Chris Webber Birthday Edition

words // Zack Schlemmer

Chris Webber celebrates his 40th birthday today, so for this Classic Commercial edition we have three classic C-Webb spots from the Nike "Barbershop" series.  In this series of commercials from 1993, pro basketball players including George Gervin, Dennis Rodman, David Robinson, and Tim Hardaway talk shop in a laid back barbershop atmosphere, while we of course get looks at the Nike's basketball shoes of the time.  We took a look at an Alonzo Mourning commercial from the series with Webber before, but this time the birthday boy takes center stage with three other commercials featuring his own colorway of the Air Max Strong.

You'll see Amanda the barber explaining why Chris is her favorite customer, Chris telling the story of the first time he ever dunked on somebody, and Latrell Sprewell (in the Nike Air Prevail) recalling Webber's infamous dunk on Charles Barkley.

Happy Birthday, C-Webb!

I think you should write a book or something, you have an incredible amount of knowledge about AM's.
I'd buy one. AM$ is right, 2010 is the year on that pair
