With all eyes currently on London, adidas Originals announces a new collaboration with English heritage footwear brand Church's. The two parties revisit the iconic adidas Originals City Series from the 70s, appropriately choosing to resurrect the London model for a Consortium release.
Styling cues found in the collaboration carry attributes intertwined into the DNA of both Church's and adidas. The Londons feature perforated 3-Stripes in traditional brogue details, as well as a premium leather badge bearing the Church's and adidas Originals logo on the tongue. Uppers are crafted out of premium suede, while stripes, heels and sockliners are done up in buttery soft leather. Instead of gold "London" lettering beneath the 3-Strips, an embroidered Union Jack is inset on the heel tab. The outsole is made from rubber, staying true to the original treading.
Colorways will include a navy version with tonal details and a chocolate brown style with mustard highlights on the laces and serrated 3-Stripes.
Look for the Church's x adidas Originals London to release soon as part of the Fall/Winter 2012 Consortium Collection.
