Following yesterday's preview, Burn Rubber officially introduces their upcoming Reebok Question collaboration. The release is tied to the story of Apollos (silent 'S') Young, best described as the greatest basketball player who never was. Literally. Apollos was a fictional hoop juggernaut who fell from grace after his personal life unraveled prior to beginning his NBA career. Despite these hardships, Young somehow managed to hold onto the lifetime endorsement contract he signed with Reebok, providing the perfect platform for this collaborative effort.
The Michiganders started with an ostrich-detailed black leather upper and added red suede to the toebox and heel. Teal works the interior lining, trim along the collar and eyestay, tongue branding and a speckle print along the midsole. Gold appears on the lace tips, side panel Vector branding, heel Question embroidery and the Burn Rubber logo. A translucent outsole wraps up the look below.
