Bronzed Original Air Jordan 4 on eBay
words // Zac Dubasik
When it comes to footwear, bronzing is a process most typically seen used on baby shoes. It's a way for parents to preserve the memory of their child's first pair. But just because baby shoes are most common, doesn't mean other shoes can't be bronzed too. Plus, let's face it, most baby shoes are pretty boring.
A shoe like an original Air Jordan IV would be much more interesting to have bronzed, and that's exactly what we are seeing today on eBay. From the looks of things, and judging by the toebox creasing, this pair had seen better days. So what better way to extend the life of the shoe than have it bronzed? They even have a protective felt on the bottom to protect any surfaces you may display them on.
If you're interested, there's some good news, and some bad news. First, the good news. Shipping on these are free. And if you've ever held an object that's been bronzed before, you know how heavy they can be. The bad news? Bids start at $1,200, so they aren't going to be cheap. If you have your own pair of original Air Jordan 4s, you might be better off getting them bronzed yourself to save a few bucks. But what you are paying for here is convenience.
Let us know what you think in the comments. What shoe, if any, would you like to have bronzed?
