BrandBlack recently sat down with RISE to discuss their latest release as well as future projects.

The NYC-based retailer chopped it up with with BrandBlack’s founder and creative captain David Raysse. Raysse talked about his vision for the brand as well as the design process for their all-new 'FutureLegends' J.Crossover II. Designed to be the opposite of the vibrant neon colors commonly seen today, these shoes come in a charcoal and brown colorway. They feature charcoal grey-based knit upper with a brown molded parametric pattern in Nappa leather, along with the brands patented Jetlon and Force Vector technology.

In addition to being hard at work on Jamal Crawford's next signature sneaker, the J.Crossover III, Raysse also mentioned that BrandBlack is looking to add some more athletes to their lineup, targeting the amateur basketball world, such as AAU teams and big city tournaments. In addition, BrandBlack is open to adding another pro athlete, one that is up and coming. With brands like adidas, Puma and Nike working with musicians and other non-athletes, BrandBlack is open to the idea. However, they are not looking to use someone for their "status," and would want someone who’s wearing the brand when no money’s involved, athlete or not.

The 'FutureLegends' J.Crossover II is currentyl sold out now at select BrandBlack retailers such as RISE, but restocks are expected soon.
