Blake Griffin Recreates Iconic Jumpman Pose

After just a few weeks as the newest member of the Team Jordan family, Blake Griffin takes flight and recreates Michael's iconic Jumpman pose.

When Michael Jordan pulled off his legendary Free Throw line dunk to bring home the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, there was an awesome backstory to the masterful photo.

Famed sports photographer Walter Iooss Jr. and MJ had worked together on several photoshoots by that point, and before taking flight for each of his dunks during the contest, MJ would look towards Walter's direction and point him in the direction of which side he'd be dunking from. Walter would adjust his position along the baseline accordingly, and capture an awesome photo of each dunk.

I have to assume some similar level of communication took place between Team Jordan's newest member Blake Griffin and photographer Noah Graham earlier tonight, because this recreation of Jordan's iconic Jumpman pose is just too perfect.

Well played Blake.
