Nike is finally ready to bring Flyknit to retro silhouettes, and will start things out there with the Nike Flyknit Air Force 1, shown here.
While the Flyknit construction is obviously the biggest change made to the AF1 here, this pair also features icy elements on the outsole that suggest CMFT tooling and a slimmer strap up top.
Previous Nike Flyknit models have taken advantage of the colorblocking capabilities of the tech to create the illusion of separate panels on the one-piece upper, something that this shoe avoids for the most part. The resulting design ignores the original lines of the classic Air Force 1, although the Flywire pieces that hit across the side here almost convey the shape of the mid-panel on the original.
The sneaker release date for this Nike Air Force 1 Flyknit is Feb. 4, 2016.
