The holiday sneaker season is always a busy one between the blockbuster Black Friday weekend and Jordan Brand's yearly Air Jordan 11 offering. Often causing the most commotion in the season are basketball sneakers, whether Air Jordan retros or newer performance designs from the likes of Nike Basketball. Which of these basketball sneakers made the most money for retailers during this past holiday season?

Sales data from SportScanInfo gathered here reveals which sneakers sold the most. Listed below are the top-selling basketball sneakers from November, 2015, through January, 2016.

It's important to note that SSI's data doesn't include the direct-to-consumer sales of brands. This means that all the pairs of Jordans and LeBrons sold via nike.com or at brick and mortar Nike stores are missing in this breakdown. The same goes for Curry sneakers sold at Under Armour's own stores. In other words, there are more pairs of each of these sneakers out there than reported here. That being said, this missing piece of the picture is at least unbiased in that it leaves out all brands' DTC sales.

SSI's original data breaks down pairs sold between men's and kids' sizes, but figures have been collated here and oriented more generally toward silhouettes.
